"Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" Kim Kang-woo showed his unwavering affection for his wife.
On Oct. 17, the KBS 2TV variety show Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant (hereinafter "Fun-Staurant") featured affectionate chef Kim Kang-woo presenting his own recipes to his wife.
That day Kim Kang-woo revealed a "no-need" recipe. First, after completing a 15-minute bulgogi that doesn't need marinating, he presented a dakbokkeumtang that doesn't require complicated steps. When his wife suddenly appeared and said, "I came to see how well you do," Kim Kang-woo confessed, "Actually my wife has a Korean cuisine cooking technician certificate. She just has a cook's license."
Facing a situation where he had to cook in front of his wife, Kim Kang-woo said, "I do it my way. My wife's style is FM. 'Don't do it like that, don't cut it like that.' When my wife is next to me while I cook, I actually feel pressured," which drew laughter.
While he was cooking for a long time, the production team asked, "Did you ever cook for her when you were dating?" The wife said, "He cooked a lot of delicious things. He cooked a lot when I was pregnant," and Kim Kang-woo added, "He cooked almost every day when she was pregnant." Ayumi remarked, "That's so sweet."
Kim Kang-woo's wife said, "Because I had morning sickness and couldn't smell food," and Kim Kang-woo explained, "I tried not to buy food outside, so my cooking improved back then. Especially good foods — my wife ate them, but they also went to the child. I used really good meat, good vegetables, good ingredients."
He even went around to eat tteokbokki that his wife likes. Kim Kang-woo revealed, "I searched for many tteokbokki and gimbap spots. We went to many places to eat. I hadn't tried tteokbokki so I didn't know. I can make it tasty, but she also has a favorite soupy tteokbokki. There's no tteokbokki place in the Seoul metropolitan area she hasn't been to," which surprised viewers.
Meanwhile, although he nags his wife, who is worried about dieting, to exercise, he sweetly said, "I'm not telling you to lose weight. Where would you lose weight? You should live healthy and long." He continued, "We should live traveling and having fun together in good health. That's why I say let's exercise. We've never traveled alone together. Not after having children. We tried to go once for our 15th wedding anniversary but couldn't."
He said their two sons even came on the 15th anniversary trip. He joked about this, saying, "No one watches my gluttonous two. My wife can't leave the kids behind. I think they'll even go to the military together."
Especially about his wife, Kim Kang-woo said, "If my wife weren't here, I probably would have had a hard time," and added, "I'm the type who has to be perfect and get stressed a lot, but my wife is easygoing and positive. She talks as if it's nothing."
When the production team asked, "Is it comradeship?" Kim Kang-woo replied, "I don't want to call it comradeship. We just live together because we love each other. I feel glad to see her face in the morning. Love is the best thing," expressing his unwavering affection and stirring viewers' hearts.<
