BABYMONSTER made a pleasant start by taking home a music show trophy in the first week of their comeback.
BABYMONSTER placed first for the third week of October with the title track "WE GO UP" from their mini album 2 on Mnet's "M Countdown," which aired the afternoon of Oct. 16. They recorded high scores across streaming, albums, fan voting, social media and other institutional sector categories, showing the intense interest of global fans toward them.
On the main stage that day, BABYMONSTER appeared exuding unmatched charisma, immediately capturing attention. A range of hand gestures, including the signature move pointing to the sky, left a strong impact, and the powerful synchronized choreography completed with the dancers shook the audience's hearts.
The members' stylish vocals and piercing rapping that struck the ear were outstanding. In particular, Ahhyun's explosive high notes that soared cleanly over the driving beat delivered thrilling shivers at every moment, and she flawlessly executed whistles that require top-tier technique, prompting continuous admiration.
Although they also took first place on music shows during their 2024 "SHEESH" promotions, this was the first time they received a trophy live on air. BABYMONSTER said, "It's all thanks to Monsties (the fandom name)," and noted, "We will repay the love and support you've sent with great performances." In the encore that followed, the members delivered flawless live performances comparable to the main stage, drawing enthusiastic responses.
BABYMONSTER plans to build on this momentum to step up their popularity push. Starting with this "M Countdown," they will appear consecutively on music shows including MBC's "Show! Music Core" on Oct. 18, and will expand interaction with global fans across various platforms such as YouTube and radio.
