Comedians Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook's concert "VIVO Show with Friends" came under fire after a sudden notice a day before saying cooling would be unavailable.
On the 16th, the YouTube channel "VIVO TV-VIVO TV" posted an emergency notice saying, "We have an urgent announcement for audience members attending VIVO Show with Friends."
The organizers said, "Due to the replacement period for the Olympic Hall heating and cooling system, it is difficult to operate the cooling system," and "if temperature and humidity are high on the day of the performance and many people gather, the interior may feel somewhat hot."
They added, "We recommend preparing several layers of thin, easy-to-remove clothing," and "we apologize for the inconvenience. We will repay you with a good performance."
But with the news delivered only a day before the performance, audience members expressed disappointment. Comments online included reactions such as, "Is it right to announce something the day before that should have been told before booking?", "I'm traveling several hours round trip to get there, so I'm worried that the venue will be hot", and "Just refund without a cancellation fee rather than proceeding."
Meanwhile, "VIVO Show with Friends" is a performance commemorating the 10th anniversary of the podcast "Secret Guarantee" and will be held from the 17th to the 19th at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul. The performance runs about 120 minutes without an intermission, and tickets are A seats 99,000 won, S seats 121,000 won, and R seats 143,000 won.
