Broadcaster Hong Jin Kyung spoke of feeling lonely after her divorce.
16th, a video titled "Hong Jin Kyung's all-time update after a 4-month hiatus, returning as a glamorous single (24-hour close coverage)" was posted on the YouTube channel "Gongbuwang Jjincheonjae."
Hong Jin Kyung uploaded a YouTube video for the first time in about four months following controversy over political overtones and her divorce announcement. She said, "After the 'red outfit' incident, I also announced my divorce and there were too many articles," and added, "I was abroad most of the time."
In Jun., Hong Jin Kyung was criticized after posting a photo of herself wearing a red outfit on her social media (SNS) the day before the presidential election. In response, she posted a handwritten apology, saying, "I have often felt it was truly unfortunate to see entertainers behave in ways that could be misunderstood during voting periods, and yet, in this sensitive time, for me to commit such a foolish mistake—I myself am sincerely at a loss."
In Aug., she also shared news that she divorced her husband, a businessman five years her senior, after 22 years of marriage.
In the video that day, Hong Jin Kyung headed to the production staff office of "Gongbuwang Jjincheonjae." She joked to the producer, "It's because I have nowhere to go. It's so bleak I could die, and when I look at Jang Young Ran's Instagram, my blood boils. They're smooching every day. And Kim Na Young and Lee Ji Hye all look happy, too."
Later, while moving by car, Hong Jin Kyung confided, "I've always been really good at hanging out alone. I enjoy being by myself so much that I even prefer traveling alone, but lately being alone has been a little hard."
She continued, "On days without work, it's hard to figure out how to fill that empty time. After spending the whole day with staff and then suddenly being alone in the car, I get down. Still, because this is Hong Jin Kyung's 24-hour vlog, even this side is me, so I wanted to show it to you."
