Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye announced the sad news shortly after reporting that her pet dog had a terminal condition.
On the 17th, Lee Ji-hye posted a long message on her social account and announced her pet's obituary.
That day Lee Ji-hye said, "I received a call on the plane. Yoda crossed the rainbow bridge. Could you have waited one more day.. I was at least relieved to be able to see the last moments," and added, "I saw my father's tears for the first time. He was sobbing on the phone yesterday too, and I worry more that I may have caused too much suffering for my elderly father."
She said, "Because my husband is allergic to dogs, I couldn't raise them, and my parents always worry about me. Especially my father, who loves dogs so much, relied on them like children and took good care of Yoda and Yona," and added, "I am very sorry to Yoda and I miss him. He was the baby who always stayed by my side during hard times.. Now don't be sick and rest in peace. The last sight was so pretty it's vivid in my eyes," as she remembered him in life.
She continued, "Today I have to go out for today's work, but many people left comments worrying about Yoda, so I thought it was right to share the news. I will pull myself together. Thank you," she added.
The released photos showed Yoda's funeral. Lee Ji-hye's father was stroking the eyes-closed Yoda with a tender touch, which moved viewers.
Earlier, on the 13th Lee Ji-hye conveyed on her "Not an unlikeable attention-seeking sister" channel that her dog Yoda's health had worsened. Seeing Yoda so unwell he could not even get up, she cried, "He wasn't that thin before. His body has been reduced by half. I've raised him since he was a puppy so he shouldn't not know me."
After bringing Yoda home from the animal hospital, Lee Ji-hye said, "They say at most he has six months left to live. Right now he's alone in an oxygen room doing his best to endure," and "I'm preparing my heart and each day continues," she said. Many fans prayed for Yoda's recovery, but he ultimately crossed the rainbow bridge, causing sorrow.
