Coupang Play·Genie TV original series UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces (written by Ban Giri and Kim Sang-yun, directed by Jo Woong) is a cheerful and thrilling story of a group of veteran special forces who have come together not to defend the country or for world peace, but solely for their families and their neighborhood.
The teaser trailer for UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces, released on the 16th, shows at a glance the five neighborhood guardians hiding in ordinary daily life.
First, Yoon Kye-sang plays Choi Kang, an ordinary insurance Researcher who is a special operations unit veteran but is treated as someone who never served in the military. Jin Sun-kyu appears as Kwak Byung-nam, a former counterterrorism unit member who now serves as the youth association president of Changri-dong and runs a hardware store and stationery shop. Also joining are Kim Ji-hyun as Jung Nam-yeon, owner of Mammoth Mart; Ko Gyu-pil as Lee Yong-hee, head of the Special Forces martial arts Yongmoo Dojang; and Lee Jeong-ha, who has transformed into elite engineering student Park Jeong-hwan. Each of these characters, who have blended into the neighborhood in their own ways, pull out their past charisma in moments of crisis and become the special forces that protect our neighborhood.
