Kim Jong-kook opened up about the issues surrounding him through his YouTube channel "Jim Jong-kook."
On the 16th, he uploaded a video titled "This is not SM Town... (Feat. Yunho Yunho, Chanyeol, Yuri, Suho, Ma Seon-ho)" to the Jim Jong-kook channel, introducing it as "SM Entertainment's original passionate man! Yunho Yunho Jung Yun-ho came to 'Jim Jong-kook' to learn a real lesson."

But what drew attention was Kim Jong-kook's statement. Kim Jong-kook said, "There were ridiculous articles one by one claiming that the reason the previous video was taken down was to hide an unrecognizable black silhouette, and that absurd story, which is not common sense to anyone who sees it, spread as if it were true."
Kim Jong-kook said, "There are so many distorted stories about the wedding that I am upset and saddened, but I think it is my fault for giving a justification, so I will accept some blame and just live diligently, working hard as I have been," and emphasized, "You've watched me for quite a while, so I'm not that crazy of a guy, haha."
Meanwhile, in a recent video Kim Jong-kook revealed his honeymoon whereabouts; a scene introducing the interior of the hotel captured the faint silhouette of his wife in the window, and the video was later suddenly set to private. Because his wife's appearance had been strictly controlled and not revealed during the wedding, the sudden change to private heightened fans' curiosity. Some fans sympathized with Kim Jong-kook's caution, saying "It must have been a decision to consider his non-celebrity wife," but other viewers expressed disappointment, saying "Aren't they hiding things too thoroughly from the wedding to the honeymoon?"
