Broadcaster Hong Jin Kyung visited the grave of the late Choi Jin-sil as her first domestic schedule after her divorce.
Hong Jin Kyung uploaded a video titled 4 months missing, then returning as a "glamorous single": Hong Jin Kyung's unprecedented recent condition (24-hour close coverage) to her personal YouTube channel "Study king genius Hong Jin Kyung" on the 16th. It was the first update in four months since she posted an explanation video about the "red dress" on June 10.
In the video, Hong Jin Kyung shared an update on the 2nd. She visited a cathedral from 5 a.m. She had requested a mass to commemorate the anniversary of Choi Jin-sil and to honor her younger sibling, the late Choi Jin-young.
Afterwards she headed to Choi Jin-sil's grave. She said, "I haven't been to my sister's grave; I want to stop by briefly before people arrive." Then she placed flowers in front of the actual grave and paid her respects to the deceased. Hong Jin Kyung was pleased when she saw someone had left soju, dried pollack and candy, saying, "Someone left these like this."
Hong Jin Kyung recalled, "I just wanted to come. It's been years for me too. My sister was such a warm person. She was very affectionate, delicate and passionate. She was fun when she was alive. When we went to the ski resort, aunt would follow and cook in the condo. The ski resort members included my ex-boyfriend and Rael's father before. My sister and that stylist were part of that group," she recalled.
She laughed remembering the past with Choi Jin-sil, saying, "We would often book a hotel room and party. We would come out looking bedraggled after a night of fun, as if we'd been stranded on some island. I don't know why my nails got grimy from partying at the hotel. My sister bought a convertible, and we excitedly drove across Hannam Bridge all the way to Yongsan."
