In the episode aired on the 15th on KBS 2TV variety show 'The Return of Superman' (hereafter 'Superman Returns'), Shim Hyung-tak was shown holding a birthday party for his favorite Emong with his son Haru.
That day Shim Hyung-tak revealed that Doraemon's birthday is Sept. 3, 2112, saying, "If you subtract 21 days from the front and remove the 2 at the front, you get 129.3. Emong's height is 129.3cm."
Shim Hyung-tak added, "I've liked him my whole life, and Emong really granted my wishes," saying, "He made my full name known across the country, let me meet my wife, and allowed me to form a family. Without Emong I wouldn't have met Saya or married. Haru wouldn't have been born."
He continued, "I've given him every gift so far. I'll be with him forever. He's my friend and family," showing his unwavering affection for Emong.
At that moment Shim Hyung-tak showed Haru a tanned version of the Emong doll. He asked, "This is a doll sold only in Hawaii. This is familiar to you. Haven't you seen it in Hawaii?"
It turned out that the doll was purchased when Shim Hyung-tak and Saya went on a prenatal trip that doubled as their honeymoon. Shim Hyung-tak recalled the prenatal trip, saying, "Haru was in my wife's womb," drawing attention.
