NMIXX will begin promotions for the new song "Blue Valentine" on music shows starting today (16th).
NMIXX released their first full-length album Blue Valentine and the title track of the same name on the 13th. As it is their first full-length record since debuting in February 2022, about 3 years and 8 months ago, K-pop fans worldwide paid attention, and Lily (LILY), Haewon, Seolyun, Bae (BAE), Jiu, and Gyujin raised satisfaction by showing upgraded musicality and charm. As of 10 a.m. on the 16th, the title track ranked high on charts, including No. 1 on Melon Hot 100 (30 days), Bugs, and VIBE's domestic rising charts, and the music video surpassed 17.55 million views on YouTube.
While the new work has drawn praise as a "high-quality album that reveals the true value of a 'hexagonal girl group'", NMIXX will appear on Mnet's M Countdown on the 16th, KBS 2TV's Music Bank on the 17th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 18th, and SBS's Inkigayo on the 19th to mark their first comeback week.
The title track "Blue Valentine" blends melancholic synth sounds, guitar riffs and a boom-bap rhythm with a different tempo. It fills autumn playlists with a message of igniting a fire in cold hearts at the point where feelings collide. Ahead of the comeback, Haewon teased through the agency JYP Entertainment that "there are many choreographies in the new song that form a 'heart' with the hands, and counting how many times the heart motion appears is a small fun point," increasing anticipation for the performance.
JYP Entertainment has been stoking excitement by releasing various original contents daily on NMIXX's official social media channels. On the 14th, a performance video for "Blue Valentine" notable for its cinematography was released, and YouTube comments poured in with responses like "content that mesmerizes both the ears and the eyes," "a performance more impressive than imagined that NMIXX shows," and "seeing the choreography together doubles the song's appeal." In a stage practice video unveiled on the 15th, the six members' solid live skills shone, and the playful charm in the blue character version uploaded on the 16th brought smiles to fans.
Meanwhile, NMIXX will open the first world tour on Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 30 at 4 p.m. at Incheon Inspire Arena
