Baseball player Choo Shin-soo was at a loss for words over his wife Ha Won-mi's shocking departure.
On the 15th, Ha Won-mi's YouTube channel uploaded a video titled "The fate of those who secretly filmed Choo Shin-soo.."
That day, continuing from a previous video, Ha Won-mi showed up for a date with Choo Shin-soo wearing bold fashion: heavy makeup, bleached hair extensions, piercings on her nose, lips and clavicle, a neck tattoo and fishnet stockings.
At the meeting place, while making a currency call to find Ha Won-mi, Choo Shin-soo spotted her from a distance and, taken aback, backed away saying, "Are you crazy right now? Fishnet stockings? What are you doing? What are fishnet stockings?" He scolded her, "Miya, pull yourself together," then was surprised at the pink hair extension and asked, "Did you dye your hair?" Ha Won-mi lied, "Yeah," and Choo Shin-soo said, "Hey, I don't think this is right."
Ha Won-mi said, "Can't you come closer and take a look? Should I go over there?" and Choo Shin-soo warned, "No. If you move I won't look at you. Don't move." He asked, "Did you come all the way here like that?" and when Ha Won-mi nodded he shouted, "Miya, are you crazy!" which drew laughter.
Still, Ha Won-mi didn't give up and said, "No, come this way. What are you standing way over there for?" Choo Shin-soo teased, "I'm waiting for my wife. She looks like someone who ran away. We agreed to have a meal together and came out. What are you doing now? What's a date outfit?"
In the end the two agreed she would only remove the fishnet stockings, and after taking them off and reappearing, Ha Won-mi was finally able to sit next to Choo Shin-soo. But when Choo Shin-soo saw her face up close he belatedly noticed the piercings and exclaimed in shock, "What!" He tried to deny it, asking, "You put them on, right?" and Ha Won-mi answered vaguely, "Piercing." Choo Shin-soo laughed as if gone mad and asked again, "No, you put them on, right?" and when he saw the piercings came off easily he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But he soon discovered the tattoo and shouted, "Oh my, what is this!" then realized the dyed hair was a hair extension and the tattoo was also a sticker and recovered his laughter. He emphasized, "I'll accept it because it's a prank. Of course I'd dislike it if it were real. I'll accept it because it's a prank."
Still, he refused to walk side by side, and Ha Won-mi said, "You said just take off the stockings." Choo Shin-soo mentioned the piercing, "I didn't know that was there. If it had been there I would have told you to take it off," and Ha Won-mi asked, "Isn't it pretty?" Ha Won-mi told the production crew, "You're all in on this with me," and the producer waved his hand, saying, "We only did as we were told. We really didn't expect it to be this much."
Choo Shin-soo said, "Let's do it once without Ha Won-mi knowing. Honestly, this is too much," and added, "If she had come out like this when we first met I don't think I would have dated her." Ha Won-mi played along, asking, "What's your ideal type?" and Choo Shin-soo answered, "A simple woman."
He said, "My heart rate was almost like when I had my first at-bat in the major leagues. If there had been a microphone measuring it, you probably would have felt the heartbeat right away." The producer said, "Won-mi, you're amazing. But you didn't cross the line, right?" and Ha Won-mi explained, "That's right. If today I got so excited that I actually dyed my hair or cut it off, that would be crossing the line."
Choo Shin-soo said, "You know me well. I'm not angry about what Miya has done yet. When we first met Won-mi was sassy. Her hand gestures are so cute," showing his affection for his wife. He said he watches the "Secretly with Choo Shin-soo" videos frequently and explained, "I've recently gotten into them."
