Group Shinhwa member Jeon Jin and his wife Ryu I-seo have officially begun preparing for a second child. Jeon Jin declared he would quit smoking for the second child and kept the promise for 100 days.
On the 15th, Jeon Jin's wife Ryu I-seo posted several photos on her SNS with the caption, "Jini smoke-free 100th day party. We always support you. Fighting." The "Jini" Ryu I-seo referred to is Jeon Jin, showing he succeeded in 100 days without smoking.
In the photos Ryu I-seo shared, there was a "100" written to celebrate 100 days without smoking. Ryu I-seo also added the comment "Dad, you're the best" with her pet dog. There was also a captured moment of Jeon Jin lighting candles on a cake.
Jeon Jin's quitting smoking appears to be for preparing for a second child. Jeon Jin and Ryu I-seo were married in Sep. 2020 and became a married couple. They briefly appeared on the SBS variety show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny" and revealed aspects of their married life.
Afterward, they left the couple variety show but shared their sweet married life and daily moments through SNS, and Ryu I-seo made a fresh start as an influencer. Although five years have passed since their marriage, the lack of news about a second child led to a misunderstanding that they were part of the DINK group.
Regarding this, Jeon Jin and Ryu I-seo recently appeared together on the YouTube channel "A-class Jang Young-ran" and revealed the honest reasons they postponed having children. Jeon Jin said about the plan for a second child, "When we were dating, I thought we were older so I wanted to have kids quickly and start a family. After we got married, being together was so enjoyable that five years passed."
They said they realized the passage of time and have now started preparing seriously for a second child. Jeon Jin decided, "If we're going to have a child, I should try quickly," and Ryu I-seo said, "I went to the hospital for the first time two weeks ago." As they seriously planned for a second child, they visited the hospital and the couple made efforts, including keeping the vow to quit smoking.
