According to SBS, the reporting from Korea and Cambodia will be revealed through a special edition of The Unanswered on SBS at 9 p.m. Thursday, the 16th.
Along with this, SBS attached a screenshot of an article titled "Only Koreans who appeared on The Unanswered were rescued..they left without searching further." The article said that immediately after the May broadcast of SBS's The Unanswered revealed that Koreans had been detained, Cambodian police raided the criminal compound, and local police rescued only the 10 Koreans and one informant shown on the SBS broadcast screen and left the scene without further investigation.
The Unanswered episodes "There is a crime city - Wench and pig slaughterers in Cambodia," which aired in March and May, drew much attention with national ratings of 5.0% and 3.7%, respectively.
Meanwhile, as crimes targeting Koreans have surged recently in Cambodia, the government dispatched a joint response team on the 15th. The response team, led by Kim Jin-a, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister and Director General, is scheduled to depart for Phnom Penh that afternoon. Officials from related ministries, including the Korean National Police Agency, the Ministry of Justice, and the National Intelligence Service, will also participate in the response team.
