'Variety queen' Lee Young-ja and Kim Sook transform into riders who personally deliver stars' genuine favorite restaurants. KBS2's 'Baedalwatsuda' has confirmed its first broadcast on the 15th at 9:50 p.m.
'Baedalwatsuda' is a new-concept "delivery talk variety" in which MCs personally deliver menu items from authentic favorite restaurants ordered by stars and engage in cheerful mealtime talk together. In line with the main copy, "If it's tasty, 0 calories; if it's fun, 0 won!", original talk devices will be added to draw out the stars' no-filter chatter.
In particular, a key point in episode 1 is watching whether Lee Young-ja and Kim Sook, the masters of mukbang who are transforming into riders for the first time, can properly carry out their delivery duties. Lee Young-ja, who confidently said, "I started delivering at age 10," has attracted attention as to whether they will successfully complete their deliveries.
Meanwhile, when a delivery order text arrived on Kim Sook's phone, Lee Young-ja, who was looking at the phone with her, said, "So you two are messaging each other," which embarrassed Kim Sook. That was followed by Lee Young-ja advising, "Don't contact him in front of the new bride!", further intensifying curiosity about the two's unresolved love line(?).
Later, at a restaurant they stopped by to pick up a delivery order, the owner startled them with an unexpected question as soon as he saw them, asking, "Did you come to eat?" In the end, Lee Young-ja, forgetting her duty, gave in to the temptation of the food while Kim Sook tried to stop her. Their bickering, realistic sisterly chemistry is expected to be a source of laughter.
The star-studded guest lineup befitting a first episode also draws attention. That is because national actors Hwang Jung-min, Jung Sung-hwa and Jung Sang-hoon all made appearances. Said to boast close friendships with the MCs, they reportedly delivered brilliant banter despite it being the first shoot.
Also, the two MCs' Michelin-level, lavish plating that can be seen only on 'Baedalwatsuda' is another unique point of the program. Genuine reactions from the orderers reportedly burst out here and there. The show's distinctive plating, which is expected to present a new paradigm for delivery food, is also generating anticipation.
Including MC Lee Young-ja, the sidesplitting secret techniques for passing by the four alumni of Seoul Institute of the Arts are revealed. In particular, Lee Young-ja said she used this to get accepted, turning the set into a sea of laughter. What exactly is this thing?
The diverse charms of the 30-million actor Hwang Jung-min are also on display. Hwang Jung-min said that during his difficult unknown years he almost gave up acting and became a tour guide in Guam because of financial hardship. The story of how he rose to success as an actor by a miraculous opportunity and moments that show his devotion to his wife drew attention.
Moreover, Hwang Jung-min's sauce recipe, which earned him the nickname "Hwang sauce" and was praised by Jung Sung-hwa and Jung Sang-hoon as a "fantastic sauce," is being revealed.
And Hwang Jung-min, who cannot be left out when it comes to new slang, participates in a fiery new-slang quiz battle among the three middle-aged men over a delicious dessert. Following "gab-bun-ssa" and "dang-mo-chi," they reportedly coined new slang meme terms such as "seu-bul-jae" and "gap-tong-al" this time as well. They even improvised a new slang term for Lee Young-ja, "gae-tam-i," raising expectations.
In addition, Jung Sung-hwa and Jung Sang-hoon reveal a painful story about why they had to continue living together despite being mistaken for a couple. When Seong-hwa, who was standing alone in a redevelopment area because of pre-sale rights, could not bear the loneliness and ended up buying even this, Sang-hoon took him out. When this was revealed, the set reportedly could not hold back its laughter.
