A claim that Hwang Hana, the granddaughter of the founder of NAMYANG DAIRY PRODUCTS and the ex-fiancée of singer and actor Park Yoo-chun, is staying in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has become a hot topic.
According to a report by SUNDAY SIS A in June, Hwang Hana left for Thailand while under investigation last year on charges of violating the narcotics control law and later moved to Cambodia. Recently, the YouTube channel "Crimenet" reported a tip that she is currently living with a Korean man in a mixed-use residential APT. in the capital, Phnom Penh.
A source identified as A said, "Hwang Hana appears to be living a relatively stable life locally," and added, "I understand Cambodian authorities are also identifying her identity."
News that Hwang Hana is staying there has drawn more attention as crimes targeting Koreans have occurred one after another in Cambodia recently, shocking the public.
Hwang Hana was caught on charges of repeatedly using methamphetamine three times from May to June and September 2015 at her home in Yongsan District, Seoul, and was also caught for illegally taking two medications in April 2018 that contained the psychotropic substance clonazepam. However, she was prosecuted again for drug use during her suspended sentence and received a prison term of 1 year and 8 months, and was released in 2022.
After her release, she appeared on KBS 1TV's Sisa Jikgyeok, saying she was undergoing detoxification with the help of her father Hwang Jae-pil and expressing a desire to help other people with addictions.
