South Korea's representative rock band Flower (Go Yujin, Kim Udi, Go Seongjin) returns to fans with a new song released for the first time in two years.
Flower, under Intime Entertainment, surprised fans by releasing the new song "SUNDAY" at noon today (15th) on various online music sites, offering warm comfort and a peaceful rest to weary daily lives.
The new song "SUNDAY" is a folk-rock–leaning, easy-listening, comfortable-style track that anyone can enjoy with a light heart. Vocalist Go Yujin, who participated in writing the lyrics, penned words about a day that offers a comfortable rest and comfort found by pausing for a moment amid hard days.
In particular, unlike Flower's previous explosive high notes, the new song "SUNDAY" features a change in vocal style. Go Yujin relaxed her voice to match the song's mood and sang lightly, actively using falsetto to make it sound as soft and comfortable as possible.
Along with that, the arrangement maximized the song's emotion. Adding brass sounds expresses a hopeful feeling, and strings lend a wistful emotion throughout the song to increase its completeness, so the band plans to unfold Flower's unique musical world once again with this new release.
Flower successfully concluded the "K2 Kim Sungmyeon & Flower Concert" in July and the "RETRO MUSIC CONCERT Choi Jaehoon × Flower 1" Seoul concert in August. In September they will appear at the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival to showcase a fiery rock spirit, demonstrating their vitality as a live band through performances and concerts.
Meanwhile, forecasting active promotion by releasing a new song for the first time in two years, Flower will hold a solo concert on Dec. 25 at 4 p.m. at Seongsu Art Hall to celebrate their 26th debut anniversary.
