Broadcaster Jang Young-ran revealed she and her husband were an infertile couple.
On the 15th, the YouTube channel A-grade Jang Young-ran uploaded a video titled "What is the rent for Jang Young-ran's shocking Namsan view duplex newlywed house? (Seoul real housing prices)".
In the video released that day, Jang Young-ran is shown visiting the newlywed home of her stylist, who recently got married.
When the stylist opened up about worries over pregnancy, Jang Young-ran confessed, "We were an infertile couple for two years, then I had an ectopic pregnancy, then had it removed here and then gave birth, but to be honest it was three times as hard."
She said, "Still, Chief Hong likes babies. But there's also that thing where if you prepare and say 'we've all made money. let's have one,' it still doesn't happen then. You have to open it up from now on. If they give it to you, you'll gratefully somehow raise it. You have to leave it open; saying I'll have one starting next year feels a bit difficult," she advised.
Jang Young-ran also said, "When you become a mother, maternal love explodes and you really become a wonder woman. After having a child, because if not me they would starve, I went out and did things and felt stronger as a mother. I feel completely different between having and not having a child. Once you have a child, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Parenting is hard, so you leave the child for a bit and go to work, and I felt the importance of work so much. I think I overcame my slump after having a child. I grew to love work more."
