i-dle Soyeon (Jeon Soyeon) expressed her feelings about rejoining as the main producer after previously participating as a contestant on 'Unpretty Rapstar'.
On the morning of the 15th at the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Mnet held a press conference for its new survival show 'Unpretty Rapstar: Hippop Princess'. The production team and main producer i-dle (i-dle) Soyeon (Jeon Soyeon), Gaeko, Riehata, and Iwata Takanori attended the press conference and talked.
'Unpretty Rapstar: Hippop Princess' is Mnet's new Korea-Japan co-produced hip-hop girl group creation project, in which participants with different identities in hip-hop, K-pop and J-pop gather to directly take part in all processes including music, choreography, styling and video production, aiming to create a new global hip-hop girl group.
Earlier, Soyeon had appeared as a contestant on 'Unpretty Rapstar 3', which aired in 2016, and competed in rap battles. Nine years later, on 'Unpretty Rapstar: Hippop Princess', he returned as MC and main producer, saying "I was on 'Unpretty Rapstar' before, but I never thought I'd do 'Hippop Princess' again. It feels good to be reborn," he said.
She added, "At that time I was a high school student, so it's such an honor to be able to do this program again as an adult nine years later. I'm really thankful to be allowed to take part."
Meanwhile, 'Unpretty Rapstar: Hippop Princess' will air its first episode at 9:50 p.m. on the 16th.<
