Dancer Riehata expressed her feelings about joining as a producer on "Hip Pop Princess."
On the 15th morning at the Elliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Mnet held a production press conference for its new survival show "Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess." Producers and main producers i-dle (아이들) Soyeon (Jeon Soyeon), Gaeko, Riehata, and Iwata Takanori attended the press conference and spoke.
"Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess" is Mnet's new Korea-Japan joint project to create a hip-hop girl group. Participants with different identities in hip-hop, K-pop, and J-pop gather to directly participate in all processes, including music, choreography, styling, and video production, aiming to create a new global hip-hop girl group.
Riehata, who previously appeared on "World of Street Woman Fighter" (hereafter "Street Woman Fighter 3"), said, I also participated in "Street Woman Fighter," so I understand how the "Hip Pop Princess" participants feel. The important thing is that while they are obsessed with winning and losing, they feel like they're fighting themselves. As a producer this time, I hope to play a role, as an older sister, and perhaps at a mother's age, in raising that motivation as participants grow and gain drive in harsh environments. You lose a lot when you fight. At my age and at the participants' ages, we all came together because we love rap and dance, so I want that passion to burn, and I also want to enjoy and immerse myself in the performances, she said.
She especially said, As a woman, I wanted to be a cool woman since I was young, but there was no place for that. The demands on me as a dancer were different, and even among professional dancers, because I was a woman I was expected to create choreography for women. I was determined from my teens that I would create something so cool that I would not lose to men, but there was no place for it, so I had to create that scene. Watching the 40 participants not only be cute but also want to be cool and seeing them produce made me as happy as if it were my own work. My heart warmed and I felt saved back to my childhood, and I want to cheer deeply from my heart. I hope everyone enjoys it together, she expressed her affection for the program and the participants.
"Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess" will premiere on the 16th at 9:50 p.m.<
