Singer Brian appealed his innocence.
On the 14th, his "The Brian" channel uploaded a video titled "I completely plowed the front yard of the wasteland villa with green onions (villa tour, farming know-how)."
That day Brian purchased seedlings of green leaf lettuce, green onions and napa cabbage to plant in the front yard of the villa where he is staying in Imsil. While doing so he met a resident who approached him warmly and took photos, and the resident said "I'm on my way to the countryside now. I have a vegetable patch."
Brian asked, "Do you manage a vegetable patch? If you have time, could you help? Today is the day I manage the vegetable patch," and the resident readily accepted, saying, "Then let's do it together. I'll just change my clothes and put on some makeup."
Later, the resident came to the villa where Brian was staying and joined him in tending the vegetable patch. He cut weeds to remove them, and Brian asked curiously, "Don't you cut the roots?"
The resident then confessed, "But to pull out the roots, before pulling them you do this first. Actually I don't really know either. I don't fully know," delivering a twist.
He said, "I'm not a full-time farmer; I haven't been down here long. I originally lived in Seoul. My mother lived alone," revealing that he himself had returned to farming.
Brian pulled the weed out by the roots, saying, "This is how I take out the whole root," but sensed something odd and asked, "Isn't this something you eat?" The resident, flustered, said, "It's green onion," and asked, "What should we do?" which brought laughter.
The crew said, "Your mother really doesn't know much," and the resident explained, "It's not that she doesn't know at all; this is a weed," describing a situation where weeds and green onions were mixed and caused confusion.
Continuing to pull weeds, the resident said, "Pulling these out isn't a joke. I thought it would be a little," and Brian added, "I was conned too!" appealing his injustice and adding to the laughter.
The resident explained, "This is radish. You have to leave this too," and the crew marveled, "Your mother knows a bit." The resident confidently said, "I'm better, after all," and "I'm the best at this." Then Brian playfully objected, "You can't mix green onions in, can you?" showcasing their chemistry.
The crew asked, "How did you decide to come help a stranger?" and the resident honestly replied, "Imsil isn't famous. When I first came down, they said it was the second-highest priority for disappearance, saying the countryside would disappear. One of those areas was here, Imsil. So I was trying to adapt and live here, but hearing it'd disappear made me upset."
Brian asked, "Does it happen because people don't buy houses?" and the resident said, "Yes. Because people don't buy here. But I'm so glad you came like this." Brian expressed responsibility, saying, "I'll make people come to Imsil," and when he asked, "Then will you come to harvest what we plant like this?" the resident answered, "You have to come again next week." The resident added, "If there's anything I can help with each time, I'll help. I live here," readily offering help.
After even mobilizing his manager to remove weeds, Brian began planting seedlings in earnest. He looked tired, and the resident asked, "You felt how hard farming is, right?" Despite the hardship Brian said, "I admit it's hard but it's enjoyable. It's kind of healing," conveying the charm of farming.
The resident said, "If these die, I'll swap them with ours and put them there. Tell me when you're coming," and Brian replied, "You don't have to say that line. You can do it secretly," which caused bursts of laughter.
