Calls from the U.S. market for the group CORTIS are pouring in.
CORTIS will perform on the 15th (local time) at iHeartRadio LIVE with CORTIS at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles. As a stage that global pop stars have passed through and the five members' first in-person performance locally, there is a great deal of anticipation.
On the same day, CORTIS can also be heard on Apple Music Radio. They are scheduled to discuss music with host Zane Lowe on The Zane Lowe Show, which recently featured Taylor Swift and Tyler, The Creator.
Such calls are interpreted as U.S. media sensitive to trends picking up on CORTIS's sharp rise in popularity. On the 11th, CORTIS attended the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final battle held in Los Angeles and interacted with well-known dancers such as Waxy, Kyoka, The Crown and Majid. In particular, media interest was intense after it became known that they were the first K-pop artist to sign a partnership with Red Bull.
On the 12th, they held a one-hour 'GO!' dance workshop in Los Angeles where the members taught choreography themselves. This event, held by lottery, had a high application rate due to explosive interest. Throughout the dance lessons, participants sang and cheered in unison, and the members replied with affectionate remarks, saying it was meaningful to spend time together and that they were truly honored.
CORTIS's debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES entered Billboard's main album chart, the Billboard 200 (Sept. 27), at No. 15, the highest ranking among Korean boy groups that debuted in the past four years. The album also surpassed 100 million total streams on Spotify as of the 12th, with the United States being the top streaming country.
