The group ZEROBASEONE targets the Japanese archipelago with nine members' nine distinct iconic charms.
ZEROBASEONE (Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiung, Jang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyubin, Park Geonuk, Han Yujin) began sequentially uploading individual concept photos for the Japanese special EP "ICONIK" on their official SNS starting on the 13th.
In the released photos, ZEROBASEONE completed a radiant visual combining purity and sophistication with pure white suit styling. They amplified the nine members' iconic charms by adding silver accessories with flowing chain decorations. In the deepened atmosphere, ZEROBASEONE gazed at the camera with solemn eyes, raising expectations for their musical growth so far.
The Japanese special EP "ICONIK" includes Japanese-language versions of three songs ZEROBASEONE previously released domestically, from the title track "ICONIK" to "SLAM DUNK" and "BLUE." "ICONIK" is the brightest highlight in ZEROBASEONE's musical journey, and with a bold message that "regardless of others' evaluations, we can be iconic ourselves," it once again clearly cements the group's identity.
ZEROBASEONE has continued syndrome-level popularity since their Japan debut. With their first Japanese single released in March last year, "Yurayura -Unmei no Hana- (ゆらゆら -運命の花-)," ZEROBASEONE achieved "half-million seller" status within a week of their local debut, breaking the record at the time for the highest figure among debut albums by foreign artists. ZEROBASEONE also topped both the Oricon weekly album ranking and the weekly combined album ranking with their first EP "PREZENT," released in January this year. Riding strong local popularity, ZEROBASEONE was selected as the winner in the Asia category for "Best New Artist" by the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. Furthermore, with their domestically released first full-length album "NEVER SAY NEVER," they proved their strong popularity by reaching No. 2 on the Oricon weekly album ranking and the weekly combined album ranking dated Sept. 15.
ZEROBASEONE's Japanese special EP "ICONIK" will be released at 0 a.m. on the 29th. Ahead of that, the Japanese version of the title track "ICONIK" is scheduled to be pre-released at 0 a.m. on the 24th.
