Singer Kang Gyun-seong expressed frustration over prostitution rumors that arose after his confession of premarital chastity.
On the 10th, a video titled "I didn't know he would be this honest | singer Kang Gyun-seong (Noel)" was posted on the YouTube channel "Life worship."
That day Kang Gyun-seong opened up about his announcement of premarital chastity, saying, "Becoming involved in purity ministry was never my intention. Once a month there is a joint reservation for entertainers, and senior Lee Seong-mi around Aug. 2011 said, 'I know you haven't kept (chastity) well until now, but why don't you learn how precious keeping that chastity is and try a chastity oath ceremony?'"
Kang Gyun-seong confessed, "Not all entertainers did it; about a third agreed to do it and we drew lots. That month fewer entertainers came than the previous month or the month before. Because if you get caught it's burdensome, so fewer came. I went, and when they tried to draw lots, senior Lee Seong-mi said, 'You just do it.' So I did it."
Afterward, Kang Gyun-seong said he was also swept up in shocking rumors. Kang Gyun-seong said, "A long post appeared on a certain cafe saying, 'The G G S of N A group did it.' The content specifically said I went to a room salon and behaved terribly with someone who works at a bar, that I went out to form a relationship and did that terribly too."
He continued, "I have never been and have never done such a thing. One morning my phone started ringing like crazy. Friends, worried, copied it and sent it to me, and when I read it my hands trembled."
About the situation at the time, Kang Gyun-seong said, "Reporters were contacting me, the company was contacting me, it was chaos, but this won't run as an article. Because it's the G G S of the N A group, if they run it saying it's Kang Gyun-seong the reporter can be sued."
Although an article did not run because of this, the rumor inevitably spread. Kang Gyun-seong said, "Who is in the N A group? There's only Noel. Who else could the G G S be besides me? Isn't there no one like Geon Gyun-sang?" and added, "I was so angry," expressing his anger at the time.
