Actor Park Geon-il has been confirmed to be cast in Judge Lee Han-young.
On the 14th, his agency Ghost Studio said Park Geon-il will appear in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama Judge Lee Han-young (written by Kim Gwang-min, directed by Lee Jae-jin and Park Mi-yeon).
'Judge Lee Han-young' is a justice-restoration time-return drama in which corrupt prosecutor Lee Han-young (played by Ji Sung), who lived as a slave of a giant law firm and returned 10 years into the past, punishes great evils through a new choice. It is based on a web novel of the same name serialized in 2018.
Joining this are director Lee Jae-jin, who demonstrated a sensitive directorial style through The Banker, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Motel California, director Park Mi-yeon, and writer Kim Gwang-min, raising expectations.
Among them, Park Geon-il will transform his acting as the mysterious character Gwak Sun-won. Above all, Gwak Sun-won (played by Park Geon-il) is a character who has a chilling side behind a clear face, and he is expected to inject a thrilling tension.
So far, Park Geon-il has solidified his standing as an actor through numerous works including the films Forbidden Fairytale and Midnight Cafe: Missing Honey, and the dramas Mister LEE, Engine On from Today, 7 Days Romance 1 and 2, and I'm tired of dating but I don't want to be lonely!
He also showed solid acting ability by blending smoothly into works with lively performances fully integrated with his characters. In particular, through a variety of characters he proved a wide spectrum from pink romance to relatable reality and tight comic acting.
Unrestricted by genre and active in many fields, Park Geon-il's new looks and acting to be shown through Judge Lee Han-young are drawing much attention.
