Health trainer Yang Chi-seung shared his thoughts after attending the parliamentary audit.
Yang Chi-seung posted a live news video of his appearance at the audit on his personal social media on the 13th. In the video, Yang appeared as a witness at the National Assembly Land Infrastructure and Transport Committee audit held that day.
At the hearing, he testified about the reality of lease fraud-type tenant damages occurring in public facilities. Yang had earlier suffered lease fraud damage of about 500 million won involving his gym.
Regarding this, Yang Chi-seung said, "I hope you will correct the reality in which victims become criminals due to gaps in the audit law and the structural damage created by the blind spots of new lease fraud methods and the administration's acquiescence."
Yang Chi-seung is a figure who drew attention as the trainer for famous entertainers such as actor Kim Woo-bin and Sung Hoon. He opened a gym in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, in 2019 and even remodeled it, but in 2022, just three years later, he received an eviction order from the Gangnam District Office.
The building had been constructed under the condition of contributed acceptance as a public facility and was in a state where the management and operation rights had been transferred to Gangnam District after 20 years of free use. However, tenants including Yang signed contracts without knowing this. Ultimately, Yang closed the gym and suffered a deposit fraud loss of about 500 million won, drawing sympathy.
