Broadcaster Sam Hammington tried to have a third child through in vitro fertilization.
On the 14th, on KBS1's Morning Yard's "Tuesday guest" segment, broadcaster Sam Hammington and his two sons William Hammington and Bentley Hammington appeared.
Sam Hammington, who spent his childhood lonely, chose the Korean language department when he transferred universities. "Because my mother left me when I was young, I didn't study much. After entering a junior college and studying international trade, I thought it might be good to learn an Asian language," Sam Hammington said, recalling that he formed ties with Korea when he came as an exchange student but had to leave suddenly. Sam Hammington said he contracted hepatitis A and "at that time more than 80% of my liver was damaged, so it was serious enough that I had to have a transplant," recalling the time. In particular, his current wife, who was his girlfriend at the time, discovered Sam Hammington collapsed in front of the dormitory, and he was urgently transported to Australia and underwent surgery.
After that, Sam Hammington made his fate with the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. Having gone to Australia in 1999 and returning to Korea in 2002 after three years, Sam Hammington said, "I really wanted to see the World Cup, graduate, and see my girlfriend. As a foreigner who could speak some Korean, I got a chance as a reporter and made my first appearance on broadcast. Then I appeared on other shows and got to know comedians. I went to see a small theater performance in Daehangno and made a brief appearance, which led to a connection with Gag Concert. To appear once in the 'Low-Life' segment starring Kim Jun-ho, I gave up the academy instructor job I had originally planned to take. And two weeks later I rejoined Gag Concert and became a specially hired comedian."
Sam Hammington added, "I had both sons through in vitro fertilization. William succeeded on the third to fourth tries, and after Bentley we tried more than 10 times. We tried hard to have a daughter but it didn't work, so we gave up." William said, "They told me to live alone, but Bentley came out. I don't feel sorry that I don't have a younger sister," drawing laughter.
