Modern music singer-songwriter Song So-hee, who pioneered her own genre, returns with a new album that captures her life journey.
On the 13th, Song So-hee posted concept photos of her second EP "Re:5" on her official social media and announced it will be released on the 21st.
In the released photos, Song So-hee showed a tasteful styling wearing a lace sleeveless top and a white skirt. Song So-hee, against a vast meadow and a field of yellow flowers, creates a distinctive ethnic mood as if one with nature, drawing attention. In particular, Song So-hee with an expressionless face intensified the mysterious atmosphere with dreamlike eyes.
This is Song So-hee's first new EP in about a year and a half since her first EP "공중무용" released in Apr. 2024. Completed with production support from the CJ Cultural Foundation "Tune Up," the second EP "Re:5" captures the journey of life and interprets the five elements (五行) through five different songs.
With the EP release, Song So-hee is also scheduled to hold solo concerts over two days on Dec. 6-7, raising expectations. Through numerous stages, Song So-hee has shown a distinct musical color of her own, and attention is focused on the new sides she will show in this performance.
Starting music at a young age with the sound of Gyeonggi minyo, Song So-hee has gradually expanded genres based on the resonance of traditional music, continuing relentless musical inquiry and experimentation. Song So-hee has consecutively released the 2022 single "구름곶 여행 : Journey to Utopia," the 2023 singles "Infodemics" and "세상은 요지경(Asurajang)," the 2024 EP "공중무용," and the single "Not a Dream," firmly establishing her identity as a "modern music singer-songwriter."
Meanwhile, Song So-hee's second EP "Re:5" will be released on the 21st at 6 p.m. on various music streaming sites.
