Actor Jeong Seong-il has divorced.
On the 14th, a representative of his agency, XYZ Studio, told OSEN regarding the divorce news about Jeong Seong-il announced that morning, "Actor Jeong Seong-il, after long and careful consideration with his spouse, has decided to end their marriage," in an official statement.
They also asked, "Because this decision was made by mutual, amicable agreement rather than due to fault, we respectfully ask that distorted or speculative reporting be refrained from."
In addition, Jeong Seong-il's side added, "Although the legal relationship has been resolved, we support each other on our separate paths, and we are doing our best together and faithfully regarding the child's upbringing. Jeong Seong-il became known for his role as Ha Do-young, the husband of Park Yeon-jin (Lim Ji-yeon), in the Netflix series "The Glory," released in 2022 and 2023. He made his debut in the 2002 film "H" and built his filmography based on theater and musical work.
In the meantime, he married his wife in 2016. After their marriage, the two had one son and formed a family. However, after long deliberation recently, they decided to divorce. Thus, they amicably agreed to a divorce after nine years of marriage.
Jeong Seong-il will continue his acting activities. In September he received praise for his performance as a crazed killer in his first lead film on the big screen, "Murderer Report." Jeong Seong-il is also set to appear in the Disney+ original series "Made in Korea," which is scheduled to be released.
