Actor Yeo Jin-goo revealed a handwritten letter on stage at a fan meeting to announce his enlistment.
Yeo Jin-goo has recently been handing out letters he personally wrote to fans at the end of each performance of his 20th anniversary Asia fan meeting tour, Blank Space, conveying his sincere feelings.
In the letter he said, "A time is coming when I will leave your side for a while and have new experiences. While doing my last Asia tour before enlisting, if I can face your faces, make eye contact and laugh together, every moment will remain a truly precious memory for me," he wrote about his enlistment.
He added, "Thanks to the warm love and support you have sent, I felt a burning passion and was able to move forward without getting exhausted. While I am away from you for a while, I will return as a firmer and more mature person. I promise to stand before you healthier in body and mind, and with deeper acting skills."
He also told fans, "Don't be too sad. You have 30 dramas and 20 movies through which you can remember 'Yeo Jin-goo,' right? I would appreciate it if you watch them again whenever I cross your mind and wait for me. You will definitely wait, won't you? I will come back even cooler on the day we meet again. I love you," he added.
Yeo Jin-goo, who debuted in 2005 with the film Sad Movie, has solidified his status as a reliable actor through a number of works, including the dramas The Moon Embracing the Sun, The Crowned Clown, Hotel Del Luna and the film Hi, Family (literal title: Hwayi: A Monster Boy), and recently joined the Tving variety show The Great Escape to show a new charm.

Hello, this is Yeo Jin-goo!!!
As I write this letter, my heart is filled with gratitude, excitement,
and regret all at once. A beginning is approaching when I will leave your side
for a while to have new experiences. On my last Asia tour before enlisting,
being able to face your faces, make eye contact, and laugh together—every
moment will remain a truly precious memory for me!!!
Looking back, every moment I have walked as an actor, from the beginning of that path
until now, it has always been you who watched over and supported me.
Thanks to the warm love and support you have sent, I received great comfort
and felt a burning passion that allowed me to move forward without getting tired.
I believe each of your precious hearts gathered has brought me to where I am now.
Words cannot fully express how grateful I am.
While I am away from you for a while, I will return as a firmer and more mature
