Singer Lee Hyori is leaving 'A Perfect Day' due to a busy schedule.
On the afternoon of the 14th, MBC FM4U's 'A Perfect Day, this is Lee Sang-soon' aired, and the program ran a 'Monthly Lee Hyori' segment with Lee Hyori appearing as a guest.
That day Lee Sang-soon said, "Didn't I say today is the 'listener ratings special Monthly Lee Hyori'? There is a special reason for that," and announced, "Today is the last day of 'Monthly Lee Hyori'."
Lee Sang-soon conveyed the news of her departure, saying, "Ms. Lee Hyori is busy and needs to manage her condition," and Lee Hyori laughed, "Mr. Sang-soon should become independent and handle things on his own, shouldn't he?" Lee Sang-soon expressed gratitude, saying, "Still, she came every month, and she even did the music drama. She stayed for the full two hours."
"Monthly Lee Hyori" was a segment in which Lee Hyori appeared on 'A Perfect Day' once a month to present listeners' stories as radio dramas, and it had run since Apr.
When a listener expressed regret over the news of Lee Hyori's departure, saying, "I watched 'Monthly Lee Hyori' for the first time today and it's the last time?", Lee Hyori comforted them, saying, "It's not completely the end; it's just that appearing on fixed days every month is ending."
Lee Hyori said, "Now we're almost one family, so I'll come out intermittently whenever there's something," and Lee Sang-soon said, "Now instead of 'Monthly Lee Hyori,' I'll visit you with 'Intermittent Hyori.' She can come anytime, not just next month," and added, "Whenever she wants to come, 'A Perfect Day' is always open, so please join us anytime."
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori opened a yoga studio in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul, last Sept. and has been conducting training there.
