NEXZ released a teaser video in animation format using the group's signature character. JYP Entertainment boy group NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) will release their third mini album Beat-Boxer and the title track of the same name on Oct. 27. Prior to that, on the afternoon of the 13th, on the official SNS channel they opened an animation video using the group's signature character FOX2Y (Foxty) called NEXZ "Let's play, FOX2Y!" ("Let's play, Foxty!") and shared an intriguing story about the new release. In the video, Foxty is fast asleep when NEXZOO, the group's official characters representing the members, arrive and knock on the door. Excited by the invitation to play, Foxty worries about what to wear and spots a striking red outfit. All dressed up, Foxty completes a styling that evokes a fierce boxer, and gives gloves to the long-awaited NEXZOO; the video ends with them practicing boxing together.
The content draws attention by featuring Foxty reappearing like the boxer shown in the video released on the 1st and taking over the city. It uniquely expresses the album concept of "Beat-Boxer" and amplifies expectations for the new release through a clearer identity developed via the group's universe and the fresh presence of the characters. On the same afternoon, the official SNS channel also posted an image teasing new promotional content called BEAT-LAB. It hinted that the members, transformed into researchers, will form teams to study various kinds of beats, and based on the intriguing universe it is expected to increase immersion in the album that NEXZ, who are sincere about beats, will present. NEXZ's new mini album Beat-Boxer, which raises comeback curiosity with a range of entertaining content, will be released at 6 p.m. on the 27th. On Oct. 25 and 26, they will hold their first solo domestic concert NEXZ SPECIAL CONCERT (ONE BEAT) at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. [Photo] JYP Entertainment
