The band Soran will change to a one-man structure with Go Young-bae after 15 years.
On the 13th, Soran posted a lengthy notice on its official social media saying, "We have important news about the band's future activities."
That day, Soran said, "After long, deep consideration and many conversations, the members agreed that after activities for the EP "DREAM," scheduled for release on Oct. 17, and the concert scheduled for Jan. 2026, they will focus on their individual musical activities."
In this regard, the agency said it would respect the members' wishes and announced, "Accordingly, after the EP activities and concert schedule are finished, the band Soran will transition to a one-man structure with Go Young-bae."
The agency said, "We promise unchanged support so that Young-bae can continue a new journey under the name 'Soran.'" It added, "We express deep gratitude to Myeon-ho and Tae-uk, who have been members of Soran for the past 15 years and made music together. We sincerely support the new musical paths they will pursue."
Soran said, "Above all, we apologize to Soraners who have loved Soran for surprising you with sudden news." It added, "We would appreciate your continued support and love for Myeon-ho and Tae-uk's new steps and for Soran and Young-bae as they prepare for a fresh start as a one-man act."
Along with this, the members' writings were also posted, and Soran's shift to a one-man structure was discussed concretely after last year when drummer Pyeon Yu-il left Soran.
Originally the members planned to continue Soran as a three-member group, but as the time for contract renewal approached they wanted to focus on their own musical activities; however, wishing that Soran and Soran's music would not disappear, Seom-ho and Lee Tae-uk agreed that Go Young-bae would carry on Soran as a one-man act.
Meanwhile, Soran will release the EP "DREAM" on the 17th. This will be Soran's final album as a three-member group.
