K-dark hero syndrome-driving SBS new Fri.-Sat. drama 'Mobeom Taxi 3' has confirmed its schedule for Nov. 21 and released a teaser poster announcing the start of its third run.
SBS new Fri.-Sat. drama 'Mobeom Taxi 3' (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Kang Bo-seung) is a drama based on the webtoon of the same name, a private revenge agency drama in which the secretive taxi company Rainbow Transportation and taxi driver Kim Do-gi complete revenge on behalf of wronged victims. News of confirmed appearances by principal cast members Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram heralds the return of a principled, cathartic hero.
The 'Mobeom Taxi' series, based on the original setting of a 'taxi driver who avenges wronged victims,' rose to prominence as an irreplaceable, cathartic hero work through exhilarating action representing the suffering of society's underdogs and thrilling revenge drama. As the series progressed, the Rainbow Transportation family—Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon), Representative Jang (played by Kim Eui-sung), Go Eun (played by Pyo Ye-jin), Assistant Manager Choi (played by Jang Hyuk-jin) and Assistant Manager Park (played by Bae Yoo-ram)—showcased character play and relationships that delivered varied entertainment, while reexamining crimes such as the sharing of sexually exploitative materials, cults, and club gate, presenting a social message that cuts across the era and distinguishing itself from conventional crime action works.
Meanwhile, 'Mobeom Taxi' has ranked fifth (21%) among all domestic terrestrial and cable dramas aired after 2023, establishing itself as a mega-hit IP and a successful example of a Korean season-based drama. Beyond Korea, it struck global viewers: on the region's largest OTT platform Viu, it became the most-watched title in 16 countries worldwide within ten days of release, and at last year's 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA), Asia's most prestigious media awards, it won the best drama series award, cementing its unique presence as a leading hit of the 'K-caper' genre.
On the 13th (Mon), the 'Mobeom Taxi 3' side released a teaser poster announcing the comeback of the K-dark hero, already starting the dopamine. The released poster, featuring the Rainbow Transportation logo returning after two years and the single phrase 'the third run begins,' delivers a strong impact and raises the adrenaline of viewers who have been waiting for the return of the K-dark hero. The silhouette of Do-gi's newly upgraded beloved car, '5283,' is also shown, heightening anticipation for 'Mobeom Taxi 3,' which will return with overwhelming scale and intense narrative.
Meanwhile, selected as a production supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Agency (KCA) in 2025, SBS new Fri.-Sat. drama 'Mobeom Taxi 3' is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 21 (Fri). 'Mobeom Taxi 3' will also be available in Asia, the Middle East and Africa through Viu, the region's largest OTT platform.
