TVING original Dear X Kim Young-dae takes on another heart-fluttering acting transformation.
The TVING original Dear X, which will be released Nov. 6 (Thursday) (directed by Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyun, written by Choi Ja-won and Ban Ji-woon, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Monster Union and Siwoo Company, provided by TVING, original webtoon "Dear X" [author Ban Ji-woon]), on the 13th released character stills of Kim Young-dae perfectly synchronized as Yun Jun-seo, who fell into a precarious and desperate love.
Dear X depicts the story of a woman who put on a mask to escape hell and climb to the highest place, Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), and the Xs who were cruelly trampled by her. Attention is focused on the birth of a ruin melodrama suspense that captures Baek Ah-jin's destruction, who hides a cruel true nature behind a beautiful face, and Yun Jun-seo's (played by Kim Young-dae) love, who chose hell to protect her.
Above all, the project raises expectations as legendary hitmaker director Lee Eung-bok, who created Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, Goblin and Descendants of the Sun, and director Park So-hyun, known for her sensitive and delicate directing, co-direct. In addition, writer Choi Ja-won, who won the grand prize in the 2018 KBS one-act drama script contest, and webtoon original author Ban Ji-woon wrote the script, adding to the completeness. It was first shown at the 30th Busan International Film Festival and received a warm response.
Meanwhile, in the released photos, Yun Jun-seo's gaze is directed at only one person. Whether inside or outside school, the person at the end of his gaze is Baek Ah-jin. Baek Ah-jin, who shared each other's wounds and deficiencies in childhood, is an indispensable special person in Yun Jun-seo's life. His tender and wistful look when thinking of Baek Ah-jin contains many emotions beyond that, making one curious about their narrative and relationship.
Kim Young-dae plays Yun Jun-seo, a man who believed salvation was love, and delivers a deep melodramatic performance. Kim Young-dae said, I was absorbed the entire time I read the script for the first time, and I felt a strong attraction to the character Yun Jun-seo. Naturally, I wanted to try playing this character, explaining his reason for choosing the work.
Yun Jun-seo would have walked through any muck for Baek Ah-jin. But everything he had protected in front of love begins to shake. About this he added, Yun Jun-seo supports and sympathizes with her with an absolute heart toward Baek Ah-jin, but ultimately, in unavoidable conflicts, small cracks form and he rushes toward destruction. I focused on the flow of emotions and his internal state while acting, raising expectations.
Meanwhile, the TVING original Dear X will be released on TVING on Nov. 6 (Thursday). <
