Singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon solidified his position as a "global live powerhouse" by taking over the Japanese archipelago.
Lee Seung-yoon appeared at the Korea Spotlight Showcase 2025, a Korean popular music overseas showcase program held in Tokyo in July and in Osaka on the 9th, delivering an explosive band performance.
"Korea Spotlight Showcase 2025" is a global music showcase series hosted by Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). As part of Korea Spotlight, Lee Seung-yoon previously performed at the Reeperbahn Festival 2025 in Germany and at the 2025 K-INDIE ON Festival. Selected for the Korea Spotlight overseas popular music showcase project by Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), he received various supports and, following Germany, closely connected with Japanese fans through music, achieving a broad generational and genre-wide unity.
Having returned to Japan about two years after his first Japanese concert, 2023 Lee Seung-yoon concert DOCKING in TOKYO, held at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo in Oct. 2023, Lee Seung-yoon differentiated the set lists for the Tokyo and Osaka performances to offer a rich variety of spectacles.
Filling the running time with self-composed songs, Lee Seung-yoon showcased his full capabilities as a singer-songwriter throughout the performance. His signature, shocking guitar neck-scraping performance and high-energy stage presence that moved freely through the audience heated up the atmosphere.
In particular, Lee Seung-yoon offered a diverse charm, ranging from festival-optimized, powerful band-sound songs such as "Firecracker Time", "Waterfall", and "Expensive Hangover" to lyrical emotions like "The One I Wanted to Let You Hear" and "To the One I Want to Be Caught By." Audiences responded with loud cheers to his band performances that swung between intensity and delicacy, and local music industry representatives also heaped praise, according to reports.
Leading the revival of the domestic band scene, Lee Seung-yoon has recently expanded his presence beyond Korea to Taiwan, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Japan with events such as Road to Borak Taipei, Colors of Ostrava 2025, Reeperbahn Festival 2025, and 2025 K-INDIE ON Festival. Attention is focused on his all-around activities that cross borders.
Lee Seung-yoon will continue his relentless musical activities by appearing at 2025 Jandari Festa on the 18th, dingo music CONCERT "Killing Voice" on the 19th, and WONDERLIVET 2025 on Nov. 16.
