Singer and actor Yim Siwan is teaming up with SM Entertainment to release his first solo record.
On the 13th, SM Entertainment said in an official statement, "Our subsidiary label is preparing Yim Siwan's solo album, and we are coordinating details such as the release timing."
According to a media outlet earlier, Yim Siwan is preparing a solo album to be released this year with SM Entertainment, and SM Entertainment will oversee Yim Siwan's overall activities as a singer.
Yim Siwan, whose contract with his agency ended in August, is currently working independently. While preparing the record on his own, he chose to collaborate with SM Entertainment influenced by senior singer Kangta.
Yim Siwan drew attention last month by appearing with blonde hair at a Netflix "The Mantis: Original Sin" round interview and when asked whether he was preparing a next project he said, "Not for a project; actually I'm preparing an album," which drew attention.
