A well-raised daughter, Ha Seung-ri, begins a bumbling journey to find her father.
The new KBS 1TV daily drama Marie and Her Three Daddies, which premieres today (13th) (directed by Seo Yong-su, written by Kim Hong-joo), is a drama depicting Marie's chaotic quest to find her father! It tells the story of the birth of an unusual family, bloodier than blood and more persistent than sperm.
A still released ahead of the premiere today (13th) contains the secret of Kang Mari's (Ha Seung-ri) birth, drawing attention. Lee Poong-ju (Ryu Jin), Kang Min-bo (Hwang Dong-joo) and Jin Ki-sik (Gong Jung-hwan) each stand in front of the sperm collection room, raising curiosity about why they visited this place. In particular, Min-bo is with his wife Joo Si-ra (Park Eun-hye), suggesting that they are hoping for a child.
But after Mari is born, the family begins to fall apart. In the end, Min-bo leaves the crying young Mari behind and walks away, and Si-ra, holding onto Mari, says, "There is no father anymore," adding curiosity about the hidden story within the family. About 20 years pass after Min-bo leaves Mari, and now grown and dreaming of becoming a doctor, Mari's eyes widen when she receives an envelope of money from someone. Always short on cash because of her family's constant petty mishaps, she cannot ignore the envelope. What, then, will be the meaning of the money envelope she encounters at the hospital?
Interest is growing in how daughter Mari, turned into a slave of capitalism, will be entangled with the three father candidates Poong-ju, Min-bo and Ki-sik, and who Mari's real father is. With storms expected to hit Mari because of the three father candidates, anticipation for the premiere is rising.
