The group TWS (TWS) is releasing their fourth mini album play hard today (13th). Attention is focused on what trajectory of growth they will draw as they move from fresh boyhood to passionate youth.
play hard is an album meant to convey the idea of throwing both youth and passion into something and giving it your all. TWS tells stories of youth intensely immersed in their pursuits through the six songs on the new record. At the same time, they more actively engage with the public through the music and stages on which they are currently pouring their greatest passion.
Heart pounding! adding dynamic energy to TWS' refreshing sound with "OVERDRIVE"
TWS sings about the dynamic emotions of youth deeply in love through the title track OVERDRIVE, which means an overheated state. Lyrics that sound like everyday language—"my heart pounds," "I can't stand it anymore," "is it always like this?"—vividly convey the moment of being flustered by an unfamiliar feeling called love while falling strongly into it.
The overdrive-toned guitar effect, which shares the song's title, boasts a powerful addictiveness that hooks the ear after just one listen. Added to this are heavy drum tones and a bouncy bass line that raise the song's energy. While continuing the widely loved "TWS refreshing" style, the more forceful sound represents the hearts of this generation of youth most passionately.
Lovingly, sometimes intensely... cementing their status as the "next-generation performance powerhouse"
The unexpected performances of "top-tier performer" TWS are also a point of anticipation. First, the title track OVERDRIVE is a song that encapsulates TWS's strengths— their versatile talent, healthy energy, and refreshing beat—clearly revealing the team's identity. In the OVERDRIVE challenge choreography video released on the 11th–12th, the six members freely showed off their charms and lovingly expressed their pounding hearts, drawing explosive reactions from fans.
If the title track maximized TWS's lighthearted and powerful charm, the pre-release song Head Shoulders Knees Toes expands the team's spectrum with a striking transformation. The large-scale synchronized dance created with the dancers, the detail and technique that overwhelm the viewer, are more than enough to prove their outstanding skills. In this way, TWS is expected to continue activities with ever-changing stages and firmly cement their presence as the "next-generation performance powerhouse."
