Typhoon Family actor Lee Chang-hoon stood out with a distinctive presence.
On the new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama Typhoon Family, which premiered on the 11th (directed by Lee Na-jung and Kim Dong-hwi / written by Jang Hyun / planned by Studio Dragon / produced by Imaginus, Studio PIC, Tris Studio), Lee Chang-hoon appears as Sales Department Director "Go Majin." He breathed unique charm into a typical office worker character, capturing viewers' attention.
The drama Typhoon Family depicts the struggle and growth of novice company man Kang Tae-pung, who in 1997 during the IMF became the president of a trading company with no employees, no money and nothing to sell.
In the drama, the character "Go Majin," played by Lee Chang-hoon, is a typical sales department director of that era, showing unusual concern for colleagues and somewhat oblivious behavior that provokes laughter. Outwardly he jokes and grumbles, but he is a tsundere with a warm heart who looks after colleagues, adding vitality to the story.
In episode 2, at the funeral held after the sudden death of Typhoon Family president Kang Jin-young (played by Sung Dong-il), when the business partners did not come, a scene was shown in which an intoxicated Go Majin vents his anger to the partners over a public phone. Although he seems to grumble and complain on the surface, Go Majin's sincere loyalty and sense of justice are revealed, leaving a deep impression.
Lee Chang-hoon displayed Go Majin's multi-dimensional character, moving from skillful comic acting to weighty emotional performance. From the early part of the drama he revealed both the realistic side of an office worker and a humane warmth, clearly defining the character's personality. Attention is on how Lee Chang-hoon will fill out Go Majin's continuing story.<
