Actor Im Chae-mu's privately funded theme park "Duriland" has been exposed.
At the end of the KBS 2TV variety show Boss, My Ears Are Donkey Ears (abbreviated as Sadanggwi) broadcast on the 12th, a preview for next week was released. Im Chae-mu appeared in it and drew attention.
Im Chae-mu visited "Sadanggwi" as the owner of the amusement park "Duriland" and as its new boss. He himself said, "The terms I hate most are president, chairman, boss," and drew a line against authoritarianism by saying, "I've never thought I'm a high-ranking person or a chairman."
But the employees' views were different. They clicked their tongues about Im Chae-mu, saying, "a nagging bombardier" and "impatient even for a second." In fact, Im Chae-mu expressed disappointment, saying, "It's a mess; if I don't watch even for a moment, it becomes like this," which increased the tension.
"Duriland" is a theme park Im Chae-mu opened in 1989 in Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province. It is known to include rides, an outdoor swimming pool and Asia's largest trampoline.
In particular, Im Chae-mu reportedly invested 13 billion won when he established "Duriland," and despite having 19 billion won in debt and operating at a deficit, he said he would continue to run it for children's facilities, drawing support. Attention is focused on the story of "Duriland" CEO Im Chae-mu to be revealed on "Sadanggwi." It airs every Sunday at 4:40 p.m.
