Jannabi lead singer Choi Jung-hoon ultimately granted Yoo Jae-suk's wish.
Choi Jung-hoon appeared on the MBC Chuseok grand festival special of 'How Do You Play?' broadcast on the 11th and performed a duet with actor Lee Yi-kyung. The two chose Lee Jeong-seok's 1986 song "First Snow Is Falling" and, while fully preserving the original song's mood, drew exclamations from the cast with a refined arrangement and perfect live performance.
This song is a masterpiece Yoo Jae-suk has long mentioned as a recommended 1980s song, and upon hearing that Choi Jung-hoon had chosen it, Yoo Jae-suk expressed his delight by saying "You're finally doing this." The meeting of Jannabi, winners of the '80s Seoul Music Festival' gold prize, and the gold prize stage of the 10th College Song Festival 'First Snow Is Falling' formed a clever parallel theory that attracted attention.
In the early part of the stage, Choi Jung-hoon and Lee Yi-kyung built emotion with a gentle melody, then with a tempo change they shifted from ballad to blues to dance, using dynamics that instantly transformed the venue into a festival atmosphere. At the unexpectedly struck upbeat rhythm, all the cast soon rose in excitement and held a dance party.
Choi Jung-hoon's unwavering live vocals, cheerful stage manner, and impromptu ad-libs in the latter part elevated the atmosphere befitting the name "Chuseok grand festival" and led the cast's excitement to its peak.
Having once again proven Jannabi's musicality and cheerful charm through the earlier '80s Seoul Music Festival' and the Chuseok grand festival special, Choi Jung-hoon is set to release his fourth full-length album 'Sound of Music pt.2 : LIFE (Sound of Music part 2 : Life)' on the 21st. Following the youthful spring narrative, this new record, which previews autumn's life sensibility, is expected to open another chapter in Jannabi's musical journey.
Meanwhile, Jannabi, which includes Choi Jung-hoon, will release their fourth full-length album on the 21st and is expected to adorn this fall with sincere music suited to the season.<
