On the episode of Channel A's Detectives' Trade Secrets airing at 9:30 p.m. on Mon., the show receives a request from a man who said he wants to know the truth about his ex-wife, whom he divorced six years ago. He said, "After our divorce in 2019 I took full custody and parental rights of our two children, but I have never once received child support," and he appealed for an unpaid amount of as much as 34 million won.
The client and his ex-wife met at a bar as a customer and a bartender and began dating, and she became pregnant in less than a month, so they hurried to get married. But there were more than one strange things from the wedding preparations onward. The ex-wife said, "My family opposes the marriage," and she never showed her family during the wedding or throughout married life. What is more, on the day they registered their marriage, the client finally learned the ex-wife's real name.
Married life was not smooth either. The client alleged, "The ex-wife frequently went out and stayed out overnight leaving the children, and she enjoyed drinking with men while pretending to be single." One day a strange man called the ex-wife's cell phone, and when he rushed there, the ex-wife was being carried on the man's back. Absurdly, that man believed the client was the man's "real older brother." The lies did not end there. The ex-wife had secretly accumulated tens of millions of won in debt without her husband's knowledge, and the house was eventually seized. But a bigger problem was revealed recently, six years after the divorce. The client said, "The younger child does not resemble me at all. I am still confused," and he could not continue speaking.
