1st-generation restaurant power blogger and YouTuber SecretIy appeared on "Sadanggwi."
On the afternoon of the 12th, the KBS 2TV variety show "The CEO's Ears Are Donkey Ears" featured chef Jeong Ho-young competing in a cooking battle against chef Bae Jae-hoon.
After buying seasonal ingredients at the fish market, they headed to Gangnam. Visiting Bae Jae-hoon's restaurant, Jeong Ho-young explained, "He has great skill and is a great person. He is a first-generation chef who popularized kappo cuisine."
Bae Jae-hoon, who warmly welcomed Jeong Ho-young, guided them to a secret space in the restaurant. The space is operated for special guests, and Bae Jae-hoon said, "Lee Byung-hun, Taeyang, Shin Dong-yup, BTS's Jin also came and went."
Not to be outdone, chef Jeong Ho-young boasted, "We also had Chef Lee Yeon-bok and Jin come. I even had a beer with him," and chef Bae Jae-hoon said, "I cooked everything up front. Bae Jae-hoon also surprised Jeong Ho-young by saying, "Monthly sales of 300 million won."
Jeong Ho-young and chef Bae Jae-hoon competed using seasonal ingredients that day, and YouTuber SecretIy (Bae Dong-ryeol) appeared as a judge, drawing attention.
Chef Jeong Ho-young described SecretIy as "a friend I've known for 10 years; he's been to almost every restaurant in the world and is as much an expert on taste as anyone. He distributes caviar and truffles, and you can say most of the well-known restaurants in Seoul use his products," and Jun Hyun-moo added, "When he visits, a restaurant just skyrockets."
Chef Jeong Ho-young asked SecretIy, who often visits overseas restaurants, about the most expensive meal he had experienced, and was surprised to hear the answer was "the price of a car." He explained, "About 30 to 40 million won." Jeong Ho-young said he was very nervous before the competition because "he evaluates food very sharply and tells you exactly when something doesn't taste good."
