The Murky Stream star Rowoon is showing the chops of an "action craftsman."
Rowoon is playing the lead role of Jang Si-yul in Disney+'s original series "The Murky Stream," delivering a passionate performance. In this work, Rowoon portrays a walpae and has undertaken his most intense acting transformation since debut.
From the beginning, Rowoon captured attention with raw hand-to-hand action. In the scene where Si-yul, who first set foot in the walpae world, fights Bang-ga (played by Woo Ji-hyun), Rowoon faced multiple opponents unarmed and vividly portrayed the rough walpae. In the fight with Um-ji Deok-gae (played by Choi Young-woo) at the Mapo ferry, he once again proved his "action craftsman" credentials with unyielding eyes and quick movements.
When he confronts Wang-hae (played by Kim Dong-won), who threatened those dear to him, Rowoon raised tension to the highest level with enraged eyes and realistic action. Rowoon enriched the scenes with minimal weapons, and he heightened immersion by even delicately acting the veins on his face. To complete these scenes, Rowoon prepared his body to fit the character and devoted himself to action practice before filming, and on set he gave performances that spared no effort, earning praise from the staff, according to reports.
Disney+'s original series "The Murky Stream," which showcases Rowoon's highly accomplished action acting, will release its final episode on the 17th.
