Park Seo-jin's father sat down during a family trip after his health worsened.
On the 11th episode of KBS2's Mr. House Husband 2 (hereinafter "Mr. House Husband 2"), the Park Seo-jin family's first overseas trip to Macau was shown.
That day, Park Seo-jin's mother, taking photos at Macau's tourist attractions, said "We never went on a honeymoon in our lives. We wanted to go on a honeymoon, but it never worked out, and when he held my hand and jumped I was so happy and felt joyful," she said, expressing her delight.
His father also complained, "Coming down the stairs I felt like I was going to die, but they said let's go down by playing rock-paper-scissors. He went down three or four steps and I went down one step," but laughed and added, "We had fun. It felt like a honeymoon."
But when Park Seo-jin's father arrived in front of the Macau Eiffel Tower, he began to limp and ultimately sat down. Park Seo-jin explained, "Isn't this Hyojeong's first overseas trip? It was in the travel plans from the start, and I felt like she could see many countries of the world. I thought it would be nice to let her travel the world, so I prepared this for Park Hyojeong," and excitedly went to see the illumination, but in the meantime the father quietly sat on the ground and took out his medicine and took it.
In an interview with the production team, the father said, "I'm sick but I could move a bit so I followed along, but my body became like this and I feel like I should be doing something. I couldn't do anything for them, and if I can't move anymore I won't be able to go. I felt like I was just a burden, so I'm sorry," he said, expressing his distress. Hearing this, the mother clutched her chest in pain and cried.
Seeing her husband sit down belatedly, the mother said, "If you're sick you should tell us," and added, "I'm such a fool for not knowing my husband was sick," expressing her pain. The father laughed and said, "I'm fine. As long as you kids are happy, that's enough," and Park Seo-jin, choking up, said, "Did we plan the schedule selfishly without thinking of our parents? We don't even know where the hospital is or how to call 119. Even if we bought plane tickets right away to return to Korea, it would still take 12 hours."
The father said, "If I walk around with the kids I'll get better. I feel good," but the mother worried, "I asked earlier and he said he wasn't in pain. His leg is very swollen," she said. In the end, Park Seo-jin and his sister Hyojeong helped their father to his feet, ended the second day of the trip early, and returned to their accommodation.
The next morning, Park Seo-jin and Hyojeong prepared to go out early. The mother also finished getting ready to go out, but the father, who seemed not fully recovered, remained in bed, causing concern. The father said, "You two go. If I lie down a bit I'll be fine," but the family, including Park Seo-jin, said, "We feel so sorry traveling without Dad that we couldn't leave easily," and could not bring themselves to go.
The father said, "Don't worry, we've come this far. Show mom around a bit," and the mother replied, "What's the fun of going alone? It's more fun together." In the end, Park Seo-jin, after urging several times, "Call me if anything happens," went out. He said, "Dad was so sick the day before, but the next day he took his medicine and felt a bit better. Still, we told Dad to rest comfortably in the hotel, and since we came on the trip I wanted to show Hong Kong to Mom and Park Hyojeong, so we left the hotel."
