Professor Kim Sang-wook said he underwent surgery in the intensive care unit during the holiday.
On the 11th, Professor Kim Sang-wook revealed on his personal social media, "During the Chuseok holiday I was not feeling well and went to the emergency room in the middle of the night. They said I was on the verge of a myocardial infarction and immediately admitted me to the intensive care unit," disclosing that he was admitted to the ICU during the holiday.
He continued, "I urgently underwent a cardiovascular stent procedure. By inserting a wire into the blood vessel and installing a support inside the vessel, it is an amazing procedure," and noted the tense situation, saying, "According to the attending physician, even if a myocardial infarction had occurred, there would have been nothing to say…"
Kim Sang-wook said, "The procedure went well, and I am recovering quickly now," and confessed, "Living in the intensive care unit and the ward, I newly realized how many people at the hospital are working hard and striving."
Kim Sang-wook said, "I sincerely thank the medical staff who saved my life," and added, "I am sorry to suddenly cancel some scheduled commitments."
