Singer and broadcaster Lee Mi-joo preemptively blocked photo-editing controversy.
On the 10th, a video titled "J-deul grabbing the back of the neck: Mi-joo's unplanned Japan vlog (feat. day trip to Kyoto)" was uploaded to the "Just Lee Mi-joo" channel.
That day, Lee Mi-joo went on a business trip to Osaka, Japan, for another shoot. After filming finished and she was given free time, Mi-joo tried a self vlog at the production team's suggestion.
Afterward, Lee Mi-joo finished her makeup, checked out of the hotel and went outside. She said, "I was going to go to a ramen shop, but all the ramen shops open at 11. It's 10:18 now. So I'll buy some bread at a convenience store for now and then move to eat ramen," explaining her plan.
While riding the elevator, Lee Mi-joo leaned her back against the wall, and upon seeing a wavy background she panicked, asking, "The back is curved, right? It's curved now, right?" She repeatedly emphasized that it was not photo editing, saying, "Oh, I was so surprised. The back is originally curved. It's not that I am curved."
Meanwhile, Lee Mi-joo was at the center of an excessive photo-editing issue once in 2023. At the time, a building near her arm in a bikini photo she posted was captured as unnaturally bent. In response, Lee Mi-joo acknowledged "excessive editing" on MBC's "Hangout with Yoo" and complained, "But doesn't everyone do it?" and "When I just post photos on Instagram, people only look at the background. They check whether there's a bent part or not."
