Singer Baek Ji-young revealed her views on educating her daughter Haeim.
On the 11th, a video titled "While his wife was on a business trip, dad Jung Seok-won disciplines his daughter who throws a tantrum (a loving hand)" was uploaded to Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel. The video shows daily life with Jung Seok-won and his daughter in place of Baek Ji-young, who was away for a performance.
In the video, Haeim insisted on following her father to exercise despite missing school because of a cold. Eventually Jung Seok-won called his wife, and Baek Ji-young offered a practical solution, saying, "You can't go to the gym to work out. Since she already has a cold, instead of going and just sitting there, let her watch cartoons at home."
In particular, Jung Seok-won suggested, "Let's remove Haeim's mosaic; it's frustrating," but Baek Ji-young was firm. She explained the reason: "Before her identity is established, I don't want her to be called someone's daughter. That's a principle we decided together as soon as Haeim was born." Jung Seok-won nodded, saying, "Right, I had briefly forgotten."
Concerns about Haeim's education continued. Jung Seok-won asked, "She wants to go to college but doesn't want to study. How should we educate her?" Baek Ji-young expressed affection, answering, "Leave her be. Haeim is growing up very wisely right now."
Meanwhile, Baek Ji-young and Jung Seok-won's daughter Haeim is known to be attending an international school with tuition of about 30 million won. Baek Ji-young has previously explained, "As a mother who works late, I chose a school that offers after-school activities rather than a system that relies on private academies."
