KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries "Last Summer" (directed by Min Yeon-hong / written by Jeon Yu-ri / produced by Monster Union, Slingshot Studio), which is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 1 (Sat) at 9:20 p.m., released today (10th) relationship stills revealing the subtle emotional lines between Lee Jae-wook (as Baek Do-ha) and Choi Sung-eun (as Song Ha-kyung).
"Last Summer" is a remodeling romance drama about a man and woman who have been friends since childhood and unfold as they confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box.
Baek Do-ha and Song Ha-kyung, played by Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun respectively, are childhood friends of 17 years. However, despite the time they spent together, their relationship grew distant two years ago due to a certain incident. Do-ha suddenly appears in front of Ha-kyung, who has been living an ordinary life as a public sector construction official in the "Patan-myeon" where she grew up, and she experiences unavoidable chaos.
The released stills capture ice-thin moments between Do-ha and Ha-kyung that draw attention. Do-ha holds documents and looks at the other with a cold gaze. Ha-kyung wears a resolute expression as if she is thinking about something, amplifying the tension between them. In one scene where Do-ha and Ha-kyung face each other in the same space, a taut psychological standoff can even be felt.
Moreover, for some reason, the two end up carrying out the same project. Ha-kyung, who no longer wanted to be entangled with Do-ha, is swept into an emotional whirlwind as she works with him. Do-ha, too, is said to become aware of his feelings for her as he spends time with Ha-kyung, raising further anticipation.
