Group Cats alumnus Kim Ji-hye is recovering at a postnatal care center that costs up to 30 million won.
Kim Ji-hye said on the 8th that she was at a postnatal care center in Nonhyeon, Gangnam, Seoul, adding, "Time flies watching the twins. I had no mind to look at Instagram."
In the photos she released, the luxurious bed and lighting decorations that could be mistaken for a hotel catch the eye.
She also revealed a photo with hotel-worthy snack plating, saying, "This is the level of the care center snacks."
The postnatal care center where Kim Ji-hye is recovering is reported to charge a base fee of 17 million won to 25 million won for two weeks, with an additional 4.5 million won for twins. That means she must pay nearly 30 million won in total expense.
Kim Ji-hye married musical actor Choi Seong-wook, a former member of the group Parang, in 2019, and earlier this year announced she was pregnant with twins via in vitro fertilization. As her due date approached, she was repeatedly warned by the hospital about the risk of preterm birth. About two weeks before her due date, she visited the emergency room on the 1st, and on the morning of the 8th her water broke and she bled, leading to an emergency cesarean section and the birth of twin siblings.
The babies were then admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit, and Kim Ji-hye said, "I felt bad leaving the babies in the NICU and going to the care center, so I rested at home and waited to enter together," so she did not enter the care center immediately and waited for the babies to be discharged. The first daughter was discharged on the 26th of last month, and about 10 days later the second son was discharged.
